Steve and Debbie began serving in Japan on March 21, 1979. They have two children, Marcia and Matthew.

Steve, who grew up in Japan, has now been there more than 45 years all together. His parents, Bill and Norma Carrell, were there for fifteen years.

Steve and Debbie worked with the Tachikawa congregation from 1993 to 2007. Since October of 2007 they have been working with the
Matsudo congregation.
